Janitor AI chat to text, in your browser
Janitor AI has no export button, so people save chats with a free browser add-on or ask support for a copy of their data. Drop that file here to read your chats, search them and save them as text or a web page. If you regenerated a reply, only the last version is in the file.

What the viewer opens
Janitor AI has no export button. Chats are saved with a free browser add-on (a .json chat archive; TXT, Markdown and JSONL also work), a userscript, or by asking Janitor AI support for a copy of your data (a ZIP).
How to get your file
Janitor AI has no export button, but a free browser add-on can save a chat as a file.
- On a computer, open Janitor AI in your browser and sign in to the account that owns your chats.
- Install the free add-on "JanitorAI Chat Downloader, Reader & Exporter" (it is in the Firefox add-on store). It only runs on Janitor AI pages and never needs your password.
- Open the chat you want to keep and scroll up once so the whole chat loads.
- Use its "Download Chat Archive" button on that page to save the chat as a .json file. Keep the file name as it is.
- Repeat for each chat. For a character you made yourself, the add-on can also save their card.
No computer? Email Janitor AI support from your account address and ask for a copy of your data. It can take up to 30 days.
What the viewer reads
- Chats from the add-on or script files and from the data ZIP, grouped by character
- Cards you made yourself or downloaded (JSON or PNG): the viewer tells you when a file is a card and not a chat
What is not in the file
- The hidden definitions of other people's characters (they are not in the file)
- Every version of a regenerated reply (only the last version is in the file)
- Dates from the add-on's text files (the order is kept, the dates are not)
